Suzette McFaul in IDWIM

On June 17, 2025, SEFCanada was proud to stand alongside women leaders from around the globe in celebrating the International Day of Women in Mining (IDWIM). Our very own CEO attended the event, representing SEF Canada and the communities we serve with pride and purpose.

“It was truly an honour to be part of IDWIM 2025. Being surrounded by so many inspiring, powerful voices reminded me of why we do the work we do—empowering women, Indigenous leaders, and underrepresented entrepreneurs to thrive in every industry, including mining.”

– Suzette McFaul, CEO & Managing director

This annual event highlights the critical role women play across the mining sector and champions inclusion, equity, and opportunity. SEFCanada’s participation reflects our continued commitment to advancing leadership, especially in sectors where women’s voices have historically been underrepresented.

About IDWIM

IDWIM 2025 featured global conversations, networking opportunities, and empowering initiatives, including a Photo Competition where women could win scholarships to earn their Accountability Leadership Specialist Certification, sponsored by TeamsynerG Global Consulting.

Our Commitment

SEF Canada remains dedicated to creating spaces where women—particularly Indigenous and rural women—can access leadership development, entrepreneurial training, and growth opportunities across all sectors, including mining.
